The Arctic Monkey’s new album “Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino” has become the fastest selling vinyl record within the past 25 years.

The record, which was released on the 11th of May, sold 24,500 copies during only its first week of release.

The new album has received mixed feedback from the band’s fans, with some stating that it’s too far from the iconic sound the Arctic Monkey’s are known for.

Even though some fans seem to dislike the record, it has still reached number one in the UK album charts, knocking The Greatest Showman off the top spot.

The album overall gathered 86,000 sales including physical copies and streams within the first week of release.
