The Eurovision singer announced on This Morning that she has suffered some minor injuries following the stage invasion during Saturday night’s show in Portugal’s capital.

SuRie was the 9th artist to perform during the competition, however, was briefly cut off during her song as an unknown protester managed to get on stage and grab her microphone off of her. The man was quickly pulled off stage and put into police custody.










 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The British singer was given the opportunity to sing again after the incident, but she and her team declined as they believed she had performed well and handled the scary situation to the best of her ability. She explained her thought process during the interview:

"We had that conversation but I was really proud of that performance (...) you have that one shot, and that was my moment."

Even though the singer placed 24th in the Eurovision final, SuRie wrote on twitter about how she appreciated the support she was given during the show, stating:

“Thank you everybody for your messages of love and support and huge congrats to @NettaBarzilali, I’m so, so proud of you x”.
